The Information and Support Services pathway prepares students to test and evaluate computer network systems, set up or repair computer equipment and related devices, and help customers solve computer-related problems. A career as a computer technician, systems support specialist, computer engineer or network administrator could await a student following completion of the pathway and certification exam.
The Medical Billing and Coding pathway prepares students for careers in healthcare related to record keeping, insurance coding and patient medical histories, with potential career opportunities available in hospitals, physicians' offices, surgery centers, nursing homes and dental offices. Students will be prepared to take the Billing and Coding Specialist certification exam through the
Students in the Medical Transcription pathway are also prepared for careers in the healthcare field. Medical transcriptionists listen to records of healthcare workers and convert them into written reports. They interpret medical terminology and abbreviations in preparing patients' medical histories and other documents.
