Seattle Woman Joins Kreidler’s Insurance Fraud Most Wanted

OLYMPIA, Wash., Jan. 23 -- The Washington state Office of the Insurance Commissioner issued the following news release:

Sisi Imani, 36, of Seattle, failed to appear in King County Superior Court to face a felony second-degree theft charge. A bench warrant for her arrest was issued and her bail was set for $5,050. Imani joins Insurance Commissioner Mike Kreidler's insurance fraud most wanted.

Imani was charged in connection with a fraudulent health insurance claim after an investigation by Kreidler's Criminal Investigations Unit (CIU).

According to the investigation, Imani hit a pole in a parking lot while driving a 1990 Honda Prelude in August 2014, two days after she purchased an auto insurance policy from GEICO.

Imani sought medical treatment at Valley Medical Center after the accident, which was paid by her health insurance. She submitted forged medical documents to GEICO for reimbursement, telling the company she paid the bills out of her own pocket. She is accused of fraudulently collecting $3,657 in personal injury protection and medical expenses.
