URL Insurance Group Celebrates 40 Years of Service, Growth, and Industry Leadership
Harrisburg, PA, August 11th, 2026 – Independent insurance brokerage marks milestone anniversary with celebration honoring employees, agent partners, clients, and community supporters
URL Insurance Group, a leading regional independent insurance brokerage, is celebrating 40 years in business with a special anniversary event on September 16, 2026, recognizing four decades of growth, innovation, and service to the insurance industry.
Founded in 1986 by Gary Clemens and Richard Basciano, URL Insurance Group began as an independent brokerage focused on serving insurance agents in the life and health insurance markets. From a small startup operation, the company has grown into a regional organization with 41 employees serving more than 3,000 insurance agents across annuities, employee benefits, individual and family health insurance, life insurance and Medicare.
The company will commemorate its 40th anniversary on Wednesday, September 16, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at The Englewood (1219 W. End Ave., Hummelstown, Pennsylvania 17036). Media representatives are invited to attend.

Throughout its history, URL has achieved numerous milestones, including expanding into Medicare, rebranding from URL Financial Group to URL Insurance Group, relocating to its current Harrisburg-area headquarters, and developing innovative programs that support insurance professionals and their clients. The company reached a significant benchmark in 2023 by achieving its strategic goal of helping more than 50,000 clients with insurance products and services. The company is currently pursuing a long-term vision of expanding its impact and helping more than 75,000 clients annually by the end of 2026.
