Under the new rule, small businesses are able to offer more flexible health care plans to employees, reads a news release from the Chamber. The Chamber suggests businesses could save up to 15 percent compared to current coverage depending on the company and employee demographics.

The West Texas Employer Health Plan is available only to Chamber members with two to 50 employees in 34 area counties. No medical underwriting is required, states the news release from the Chamber, and there is guaranteed coverage for pre-existing conditions.
The Chamber will share more information about the health plan in the coming weeks.
