Two-vehicle crash in Vancouver sends 1 to hospital
Columbian (Vancouver, WA)
Oct. 6--A two-vehicle crash involving a suspected uninsured and unlicensed driver from Oregon sent one person to the hospital Saturday.
Vancouver Police Department officers were dispatched at 8:19 p.m. to the intersection of East Mill Plain Boulevard and C Street for the report of a traffic crash.
An investigation found that the Oregon driver was southbound on C Street when they started to make a left turn onto Mill Plain, with a yellow yield light flashing its caution arrow, police department spokeswoman Kim Kapp said in an email.
The second vehicle was northbound on C Street with a green light. The first car attempted to make their left turn and the two cars collided, Kapp said.
Both vehicles were towed. The driver of the second vehicle was taken to the hospital. The current condition of that driver is unknown, but it appears their injuries were not life-threatening, Kapp said.
The driver of the other vehicle was cited for driving without a license or insurance.
Police did not identify the drivers.
