Two MassMutual Legal Professionals Named 2017 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Fellows

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., March 1 -- Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance, a life insurance company, issued the following news release:

Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual) has selected two of its attorneys - Courtney Reid and Jaime Genua - as members of the 2017 class of Fellows, participating in a landmark program created by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) to identify, train, and advance the next generation of leaders in the legal profession.

Reid, Assistant Vice President and Counsel, joined MassMutual in 2016 and practices in the areas of broker-dealer, FINRA and SEC regulations, FINRA regulatory examinations and contracts and distributions. Genua, Vice President and Senior Counsel, joined MassMutual in 2007 and practices in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, financing activities, investment governance and transactional matters.

Founded in 2009, LCLD is a growing organization of more than 260 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who are personally committed to creating a more diverse and inclusive legal profession. The LCLD Fellows program, which has trained more than a thousand mid-career attorneys since 2011, is one of LCLD's most important initiatives.
