To fulfill the requests of those in need, the office needs all of its 134 full-time, 36 part-time and six contracted employees. In addition, it has 233 volunteers which brings the "Angel" total to 409 souls.
The staff is on-call 24 hours per day, seven days per week and 365 days a year.
"Moneys from this event go into our special needs fund, money that will be used for patients families when private insurance can not pick up the costs," Brossia said.
"We are so very grateful for whatever payment families can afford. In 2018, we served 1,698 patients and their families. We received 8,439 'gifts' and that includes the fundraisers and grants we were recipients of. Every cent counts because, regardless of payment, our service is ongoing."
Those wishing to offer auction prizes and/or needing additional information on the tournament can call Brossia at the Sycamore Line office at 419-625-5269 ext.1107 or on her cellphone at 419-202-2036.
