Sen. Lee Introduces Bill on Flood Insurance Coverage

WASHINGTON, Sept. 25 -- Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, has introduced legislation (S. 2831) to "require the National Flood Insurance Program to accept mid-term cancellations of flood insurance coverage if the insured acquires alternative coverage."
The bill was introduced on Sept. 23 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla. It was referred to the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee.
