The Superintendent of Northeast Tech, Roger Crutchfield, revealed the school will open a Business and Industry Service (BIS) Center in Grove in the near future.
Speaking at the Grove Chamber banquet, Crutchfield said the technical school recently purchased the former Holly Nursery site on North Highway 59 (8705 Highway 59 N). The 3.5-acre site includes a 3,500 square-foot showroom building as well as a 5,000 square-foot shop behind the main building.
Northeast Tech already has a BIS Center in the Pryor from window breaks. Also discussed was separating the entrances between the dispatch office and the 911 Trust office. Currently dispatch is the receptionist for those seeking 911 addresses and wanting to talk with the 911 Trust Authority personnel. The suggestion was made to put new signage to direct people looking for the 911 Trust office to the side door which leads to their office.
The Trust Board also approved liability insurance for the Trust Authority in the amount of $11,924 which is $600 more than last fiscal year.
