Michael Jackson was named founding dean of the College of Science and Technology. He was chairman of the department of physics with Central Washington University and interim physics department chairman with the University of Wisconsin at La Crosse. Penn State Harrisburg named Susannah Gal associate dean of research and outreach. She was interim dean of libraries and a professor of biological sciences with Binghamton University in New York. She has a bachelor's degree in biochemistry and chemistry from Smith College in Massachusetts and a doctorate in biochemistry from Johns I Iopkins University in Maryland.

Adams Electric Cooperative of Cumberland Township named Brooke Balek a human resources assistant with its human resources department. She has a bachelor's degree in human resources from York College. Gov. Tom Wolf named John Quigley chairman of the Pipeline Infrastructure Task Force, which will help commonwealth agencies, the natural-gas industry and other entities collaborate more effectively on thousands of miles of pipelines across the state. Fie is secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.

HEALTH CARE

East Pennsboro Township-based Holy Spirit named Janet Kulka a physician assistant with Holy Spirit Cardiology. She was a physician assistant with Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. She has a bachelor's degree in kinesiology from Penn State and a master's degree in physician assistant studies from Lock Haven University. Drs. Lancaster General Health named Drs. Hyasmine Charles and Nancy Rist physicians with its Women's Specialty Center in East Hempfield Township. Charles has been in practice in the Lancaster area for 14 years; she has a medical degree from Penn State. Rist was employed with Crozer-Keystone Health System and has a medical degree from Temple University.

York-based Wellspan Health named Dr. Tom McGann executive vice president for clinical practice. Prior to joining the system, he practiced with the National Health Service Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service for four years and then at Dallastown Family Medicine for 16 years. He has a medical degree from Georgetown University.
