RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A number of Republicans in the U.S. Senate as well as Democrats across the board are raising concerns about the impact the current House budget bill would likely have on Medicaid and private health insurance.
The former secretary of North Carolina'sDepartment of Health and Human Services is also sounding the alarm.
Kody Kinsley is now a senior policy advisor for Johns Hopkins University, but still calls North Carolina home. While he was running NC Department of Health and Human Services, Kinsley was very much involved in working with the bi-partisan state legislature to join most other states in the country by expanding Medicaid.
Kinsley sat down with CBS 17's Russ Bowen to explain what the proposed cuts would mean for North Carolinians.
