Lewis statement on delegation letter requesting a State Innovation waiver
Congressional Documents & Publications
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Jason Lewis (MN-02) issued the following statement after joining the entire Minnesota delegation in requesting Secretary Price and Secretary Mnuchin grant expedited consideration of a State Innovation waiver for the Minnesota Premium Security Program:
"Families in Minnesota are continuing to suffer under Obamacare, and as the system collapses the governor has had to bail out MNSure to the tune of $310 million.
"Our families shouldn't have to bear the consequences of a failed government experiment in health care, which is why I joined Rep. Peterson in supporting a waiver that provides state flexibility to address the difficulties Minnesotans are facing.
"And that's why waivers were such an integral part of the AHCA, so that Minnesota families struggling with health care costs could see more immediate relief."
