IS-1015: Insurance Considerations, Compliance and Requirements
Emergency Management
March 05-- Mar. 5--I may have mentioned this recently. If I had to choose between people being prepared for disasters and having property insurance, for disaster resilience purposes, I would advocate that they have insurance.
It is insurance that will protect them from financial ruin. When homes are damaged or destroyed, and there is no insurance (as in the case of the recent Alabama tornado) people's financial lives can be destroyed.
Knowing about insurance will help you and your program. See this FEMA Class IS-1015: Insurance Considerations, Compliance, and Requirements
