Oct. 13

Children's Grief Workshop for kids 4 to 16 will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 13 at St. Luke United Methodist Church, Tupelo. Free, one-day, interactive Christian-based program designed with parent/guardian participation. Presented by Sanctuary Hospice. Prior registration by Oct. 2 required because space is limited. Through Nov. 3

Saturday Morning Injury Clinic will be offered Aug. 18 through Nov. 3 for area varsity athletes who sustain sports-related injuries in previous night's game. The free clinic is offered during football season. Athletes will be seen by an orthopedic surgeon, receive a free x-ray if needed and a return to play plan initiated by a athletic trainer. Athletes, who should be accompanied by a parent, should report to 8:15 to 8:30 a.m. to the Orthopaedic Institute of North Mississippi at Gloster Creek Village. OngoingHip Hoppers, a program for preschoolers with their grown-ups, is offered at 10 a.m. two Mondays a month at HealthWorks! Children's Health Education Center in Tupelo. FREE CLINICS

Antone Tannehill Good Samaritan Free Clinic is open to working or temporarily unemployed Lee County residents who meet income guidelines and are not eligible for government programs. Clinics are offered Tuesday and Thursday evenings and every other Wednesday. Call (662) 844-3733.

CATCH Kids offers school-based and community clinics where children 18 and under can be seen free of charge in Lee, Chickasaw and Pontotoc counties. Medications are provided without cost to patients through arrangements with local pharmacies. Call (662) 377-2194. Community clinics are offered 5 to 7 p.m. on Mondays at 1616 N. Green St. in Tupelo, and at 329 W. Oxford Street, Pontotoc; on Tuesdays at Haven Acres Community Center in Tupelo; and Thursdays at 1616 N. Green St., Tupelo and back of Excel building on Baskin Street, Okolona.

Oxford Medical Ministries provides free health care to workers living in Lafayette and Yalobusha counties who can't afford or don't have access to health insurance or public assistance. Call (662) 234-1374.

Tree of Life Free Clinic will be open at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 3 at its 541 W. Main St. building in Tupelo. Open to anyone without public or private health insurance. Oct. 13

Northeast Mississippi Birthing Project offers support for pregnant women through volunteer mentors, pregnancy and life-management classes and community health workers. Free breastfeeding class is offered at 6 p.m. the second Tuesday of the month. Free early pregnancy class is offered at 10 a.m. the fourth Thursday of the month.
