Business Wire

400+ employees hired to date in Utah with higher-than-average wages; holding open houses on Tuesdays and Thursdays and a business/community event on Sept. 15

LINDON, Utah--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- GoHealth, a leading 17-year-old high-growth, technology-driven health insurance marketplace with U.S. headquarters in Chicago, is expanding rapidly at its new location in Lindon. The company hired 400+ employees in the past six weeks and plans to fill another 200 positions by mid-October, fulfilling the company’s pledge to fill 600 new positions before the 2019 open enrollment period begins.

Wages for these positions in aggregate are expected to exceed 110 percent of the Salt Lake County average wage. Job openings include specialists and advisors to help individuals through the decision-making process of selecting health plans that best match their needs, including those people who are enrolling in Medicare plans. Multi-lingual speakers are also needed, and the company pays for and trains employees for all necessary licensing requirements and certifications.

There is an excellent opportunity for a wide range of potential employees, ranging from career-seekers to parents looking for seasonal work to seniors desiring extra income and an interesting “second career.” GoHealth has a long history of promoting internally to help agents grow within the company; it has several director-level employees who started with the company as agents.

“For anyone looking for a high-growth career, GoHealth gives you the opportunity to get into a massive, growing marketplace with incredible potential,” said Clint Jones, CEO of GoHealth. “We provide everything you will need to succeed, including training and education for licensing. We love Utah’s talented and hard-working citizens, and are excited to establish ourselves in this marketplace.”

To view open positions, visit GoHealth.com/careers. The company is holding Tuesday and Thursday open houses to introduce prospective employees and the community to the company and its employment opportunities. On Saturday, Sept. 15, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., GoHealth invites anyone interested to attend an open house to learn more about why GoHealth has been a healthcare innovator. Food from R&R Barbecue, along with live music and children’s activities, including face painting and balloon art, will be provided.

"GoHealth's continued expansion in Lindon is another prime example of how Utah's vibrant and hardworking people drive success in companies that put down roots here," said Gov. Gary R. Herbert of Utah. "It has been exciting to watch GoHealth's rapid growth, and I wish them the best of success."

GoHealth has been leading innovation in the health insurance marketplace since 2001. The company has achieved a compounded annual growth rate of 47 percent. The company, headquartered in Chicago, with offices in Lindon, Utah, and Charlotte, North Carolina, provides consumers with quality coverage that meets their needs and fits their budgets, connecting Americans to the most affordable insurance coverage throughout every stage of their life. In addition, the company partners with the nation’s top healthcare carriers as a trusted extension, supplying them with scalable business solutions that allow providers to focus on what they do best: provide healthcare.

“As a leading innovator in the health insurance marketplace for 17 years, GoHealth has built a wealth of health insurance knowledge and expertise that will be a great asset to Utah,” said Val Hale, executive director, Governor’s Office of Economic Development. “Bringing 600 jobs to our state is no small matter, and we are excited that the company has made our state its next home.”
