Dam to Dam announces 2023 lead sponsor

Wabash Plain Dealer (IN)

The Dam to Dam Wabash County Bike Ride committee is pleased to announce that INGUARD Health will again power the 2023 ride.

INGUARD is an insurance and risk management firm, serving clients throughout the U.S. and abroad with the origin of the company in Wabash County. They have continued to serve the county since the late 1800s. To advance their mission of making healthy choices more accessible to all, INGUARD's CEO Parker Beauchamp supports events around Wabash and surrounding areas that really challenge people to be their healthiest selves.

"Events like Dam to Dam bring friends and neighbors together to achieve their health goals," Stephanie Rogers, visitor experiences manager, and event director. "Community health and fun is at the heart of Parker and INGUARD."

Dam to Dam is celebrating its 14th year, the event will take place on Sunday, Sept. 10, and will start at the Wabash County YMCA. Breakfast will be provided to fuel up riders before wheels hit the road at 8 AM. Dam to Dam is recognized as one of Indiana's premier cycling events, attracting riders from all across the country. Last year, Dam to Dam welcomed riders representing 11 states. "Showcasing all of Wabash County and highlighting our local communities to our traveling guests is at the core of this ride," said Rogers. "Our hope is that cyclists will bring the whole family and stay and play the entire weekend."

The standard route lengths that are available include 15, 30, 50, 62 (Metric Century), 80, 100 (Century), and 150 miles. Early Bird registration begins April 1 at a discounted price of $40/ rider. Youth cyclists always ride for free thanks to our generous sponsors. The entry fee includes breakfast, lunch, and a free soft-style commemorative shirt.

Dam to Dam is a perfect example of how Wabash offers outdoor fun for all ages and fitness levels. "This event is the epitome of community collaboration", said Christine Flohr, executive director of tourism for Visit Wabash County. "From the D2D Committee to the hundreds of volunteers, from our dedicated sponsors to local civic leaders, each and every one of them make it possible."

The Dam to Dam Wabash County Century Ride is a program of Visit Wabash County and is powered by INGUARD. Organized by a group of volunteers dedicated to the advancement of trails and greenways throughout Wabash County.

Members of the 2023 Dam to Dam Committee are Greg Garner, Shelly Baucco, John Trimble, Dave Mann, Mike Paul, Amy Ford, Roger Peebles, Adam Stakeman, Christine Flohr, and Stephanie Rogers, event director.
