Chubb Charity Challenge Raises More than $900,000 This Year, and More than $15 Million To-Date for Charities in the U.S. and Canada

PR Newswire

Winning Team to Receive $50,000 for Their Chosen Charity

WHITEHOUSE STATION, N.J., Nov. 5, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Last week, forty-five teams from across the United States and Canada – the winning foursomes from each of the regional golf events held throughout the year – competed in the Chubb Charity Challenge national tournament finals in Kiawah, SC. The team from JLT Specialty USA – winners of the White Plains/Albany, NY regional event – has been crowned champions of the 19th annual event, and will present a $50,000 check to Berkshire Farm Center & Services for Youth of Canaan, NY.

The team from JLT Specialty USA won the 19th Annual Chubb Charity Challenge national finals. As a result of this win, they will present a $50,000 check to their chosen charity – Berkshire Farm Center & Services for Youth of Canaan, NY. This year, a total of 359 teams participated in the Chubb Charity Challenge, and more than $300,000 of the $900,000 has already been distributed to charities across the U.S. and Canada.

"The Chubb Charity Challenge underscores Chubb's commitment to philanthropy and building stronger connections within our communities," said Chris Maleno, Division President, Chubb North America Field Operations. "Together with our network of brokers and agents, Chubb looks forward to this event each year and we enjoy seeing how these contributions benefit their chosen charities and all who they serve."

Launched in 1996, the Chubb Charity Challenge invites agents, brokers and clients to golf in regional tournaments hosted by local Chubb branches. Competing on behalf of their selected charities, the winning foursome from each regional tournament advances to the national tournament. Since 2000, more than 5,200 teams have participated in the Chubb Charity Challenge, raising more than $15 million for charity collectively.

"Berkshire Farm Center & Services for Youth is an incredible not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping children and families, and ensuring they are able to get the education they need," said Justin Riccio, Senior Vice President at JLT Specialty USA. "Winning this money for charity is one of the proudest moments we have had, and we are honored to donate to a cause that is committed to making a difference in New York State. We thank Chubb for hosting this event and creating the opportunity to give back to our communities."
