Brush fire reported at Immokalee airport

A brush fire near Immokalee Regional Airport grew to 25 acres Tuesday afternoon.

The fire is 75 percent contained, according to Immokalee Fire Control District.

The Immokalee and North Collier fire rescue districts are fighting the fire along with the Florida Forest Service.

No structures are in danger, according to Samantha Quinn, a spokeswoman for the Forest Service.

The fire was reported on the east end of the airport and is not affecting airport operations, according to county spokeswoman Kate Albers.
