The biggest takeaway from the list is that according to the WalletHub results, Texans rank dead last in the percentage of insured adults ages 18-64, rank 49th in the percentage of insured children ages 0-17 and placed fourth in the percentage of medical residents retained in hospitals.
The top state? That would be Hawai'i. The Aloha State has the country's lowest heart disease rate and came in fourth for the highest percentage of all insured residents. It does, however, also boast the lowest Medicare-acceptance rate among physicians.
