DECORAH, Iowa, March 11 -- Luther College issued the following news:

Luther College to host 10th annual one-day educational seminar on financial management, retirement and estate planning, and charitable giving

Area women of all ages will have an opportunity to learn more about financial management, retirement and estate planning, and charitable giving at the 10th annual Women, Faith and Finance seminar on Friday, April 4.

Hosted by Luther College, the one-day educational seminar will be presented 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hotel Winneshiek in Decorah. The program is open to the public and coincides with Decorah's Women's Weekend Out.

Five of the nine former keynote speakers will return to Decorah to participate in the keynote panel presentation, "Women and Philanthropy: Celebrating Milestones and Inspiring Action." Interactive discussion with the panelists will continue in the closing session.

The program will include concurrent sessions led by area professionals on topics such as wise money management, investing, legacy planning and wealth transfer.

To register for the Women, Faith and Finance seminar, contact the Luther College Development Office, (563) 387-1862 or online at www.luther.edu/wff. Registration forms are available at the Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce.

Deadline for registration is Thursday, March 27.

Total cost is $30, which includes resource materials, continental breakfast and lunch.

In addition, the first 75 paid registrants will receive their choice between two complimentary resource books: "The Smart Woman's Guide to Planning for Retirement" by Mary Hunt and "Raising Financially Fit Kids" by Joline Godfrey.

For additional information, contact Jeanie Lovell, program director, at [email protected].

Returning speakers featured in the keynote panel include Christine Grumm, owner of Chris Grumm Consulting Company and former CEO/president of the Women's Funding Network; Connie Kilmark, financial counselor and consultant for Kilmark & Associates, LLC, and dubbed the "Dr. Ruth of Money" because of her background in counseling and finance; Jenny Peterson, philanthropy consultant and owner of Norris Peterson Consulting, and former philanthropic advisor at Lutheran World Relief and Luther Seminary; Kathleen Rehl, owner of Rehl WEALTH Collaborations, LLC, and award-winning author of "Moving Forward on Your Own: A Financial Guidebook for Widows"; and Abbie von Schlegell, owner of advancement consulting firm, A. von Schlegell and Co., and BoardSource senior governance consultant. Panelists will share their knowledge and expertise of working with women philanthropists from varied perspectives.
