RSA and John Lewis Announce Partnership Launch

LONDON, July 24 -- RSA Group issued the following news release:

Leading global insurer, RSA, today announced that it has been appointed to provide pet, wedding & event and home insurance for John Lewis Insurance, following a competitive tendering process.

RSA will underwrite wedding & event and pet products from 24 July and home insurance from January 2013.

Mark Christer, Personal Lines Managing Director at RSA, said: "We are delighted to be working with John Lewis Insurance.

The pet product will offer three different levels of cover and includes 24-hour help and advice from vetfone(TM) veterinary nurses and complementary treatments, such as physiotherapy, acupuncture and behavioural treatments. There is also no upper limit for vets' fees, regardless of the age of the pet.

The wedding and event product has six levels of cover, and includes cancellation or rearrangement cover, loss or damage, failure of suppliers and wedding ring cover.

John Lewis Insurance is the latest win for RSA's Affinity team, with existing partnerships including Tesco, Home Retail Group (Argos and Homebase), National Australia Group, Yorkshire Building Society and Marks & Spencer.
