March 26--The following information is based on public records from local and area law enforcement agencies and/or court systems:

HENDERSON

CIRCUIT COURT

Nichola A. Koonce, 36, Corydon, pleaded guilty Tuesday to manufacturing methamphetamine, three counts of fourth-degree controlled substance endangerment to a child, one count of first-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges of complicity were dismissed. Sentencing has been scheduled for April 28.

Dorris E. Koonce, 39, Corydon, pleaded guilty to and was sentenced on several charges Tuesday. He received 12 years for manufacturing meth, five years on each of three counts of fourth-degree controlled substance endangerment to a child, three years on one count of first-degree possession of a controlled substance and 12 months for possession of drug paraphernalia. Sentences are to run concurrently. Charges of complicity were dismissed.

James A. Morris Jr., 54, 500 block of Gabe Street, was sentenced Monday to 10 years on each of two counts of second-degree robbery and five years on each of two counts of second-degree robbery. Sentences are to run consecutively.

Lawrence Dejarnett, 57, 1100 block of Meadow Street, was sentenced Monday to 10 years for tampering with physical evidence and being a first-degree persistent felony offender, and one year for first-degree possession of a controlled substance. Sentences are to run consecutively.

Opal L. Tapp, 41, 1600 block of Old Madisonville Road, pleaded guilty Monday to complicity to first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, amended from first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and being a second-degree persistent felony offender. Sentencing has been scheduled for April 28.

Kenneth M. Westerman, 26, address unavailable, pleaded guilty Monday to second-degree burglary, amended from first-degree burglary, second-degree fleeing/evading police and fourth-degree assault (domestic violence). Sentencing has been scheduled for April 21.

Charles B. Cooper, 49, address unavailable, pleaded guilty Monday to two counts of fraudulent insurance acts. Sentencing has been scheduled for April 28.

Shane L. Woodley, 37, address unavailable, pleaded guilty to and was sentenced on charges Monday. He received 10 years for second-degree burglary and being a second-degree persistent felony offender, amended from first-degree persistent felony offender, and 10 years for fraudulent use of a credit card and being a second-degree persistent felony offender, amended from first-degree persistent felony offender. Sentences are to run concurrently.

Donnie Ritchison Jr., 44, 100 block of North Lincoln Avenue, pleaded guilty Monday to being a felon in possession of a handgun. A charge of being a second-degree persistent felony offender was dismissed. Sentencing has been scheduled for April 28.

Jason K. Steward, 34, 500 block of Atkinson Street, pleaded guilty Monday to first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and being a second-degree persistent felony offender. Sentencing has been scheduled for April 28.
