Sacred Heart Prep-Atherton 69, Crystal Springs Uplands-Hillsborough 45: SHP trailed 17-12 after the first quarter, but rebounded to take a 38-32 lead into halftime and dominated a 25-3 third quarter. James McLean (16 points) and Corbin Koch (14) were the only two Gators in double digits. Records: SHP 12-7, 7-0 WBAL; CSU 5-12, 0-7

GIRLS SOCCER

Menlo School-Atherton 5, The King's Academy-Sunnyvale 0: Senior midfielder Sienna Stritter had a hat trick for the Knights, with the lone first half goal coming with 4 minutes left on an 18-yard shot into the corner of the goal off an assist from junior Alexander Walker. Stritter's second goal came 3 minutes into the 2nd half on a 15-yard shot unassisted. Next, Chandler Wickers tallied from 10 yards out on an assist from fellow senior Emma LaPorte in the 47th minute. Then Stritter completed her hat trick on a 12 yard blast off an assist from sophomore Zoe Enright in the 57th minute. Freshman Claire McFarland scored in the 75th minute from close range off an assist from her sister, senior Claire McFarland.Records: MS 10-3-2, 6-0-1 WBAL Foothill; TKA 3-4-0 WBAL

Los Altos 1, Los Gatos 0: Late in the 2nd half, Katie Winters played a long ball to Allie Crum who settled it and scored. Record: LA 6-3-2, 4-1-1 SCVAL De Anza

SATURDAY

BOYS BASKETBALL

St. Mary's-Berkeley 61, Sacred Heart Prep-Atherton 53: SHP fell behind 21-10 after the first quarter, but fought back to trail 27-24 at halftime. Mason Randall and Connor Moses each made 4 treys, with Randall scoring 17 points and Moses adding 14. Records: SHP 11-5; SM 17-5

GIRLS SOCCER

Menlo School-Atherton 3, Notre Dame-San Jose 0: Scoreless at halftime, Menlo's Sienna Stritter scored from 10 yards out off a corner from fellow senior Chandler Wickers 5 minutes into the 2nd half. In the 49th minute, senior Amanda McFarland's free kick deflected off a NDSJ player for Menlo's second goal. Wickers pushed the lead to 3-0 on an accurate 12-yard shot off a beautiful pass from junior Annelise Vought in the 70th minute. Sophomore keeper Schuyler Tilney-Volk (3 saves) earned her 5th straight shutout. Record: MS 9-3-2, 5-0-1 WBAL Foothill

Valley Christian-San Jose 5, Notre Dame-Belmont 2: Notre Dame trailed 3-0 at half, then got a goal from Jessica Parque assisted by Jordan Thatcher in the 55th minute to pull within 4-1 and 7 minutes later Parque assisted on Lauren Keelan's goal to make it 4-2. Valley Christian scored an insurance goal in the 78th minute. Record: NDB 7-8, 1-7 WCAL

FRIDAY

BOYS BASKETBALL

Menlo-Atherton 50, Woodside 40: M-A's Royce Branning scored more than half of his teaam's points, sinking 4 3-pointers to score a game-high 26. Woodside's Josh Holman led his team with 10 points. M-A led 20-15 at halftime and 33-25 entering the fourth quarter.

GIRLS SOCCER

The King's Academy 4, Pinewood-Los Altos Hills 0: A poor first half in which Pinewood conceded two early goals within the first 8 minutes and fell behind 3-0 was too much to overcome. Record: P 3-12, 2-5 WBAL Foothill

Los Gatos 2, Palo Alto 0: Paly's nine game unbeaten streak came to an end on the road. The Vikings trailed 1-0 at half. Record: PA 6-3-3, 3-1-2 SCVAL De Anza

BOYS SOCCER

Menlo School-Atherton 2, Crystal Springs Uplands-Hillsborough 1: Soon after the first whistle, Menlo's sophomore forwards Tyler McGraw and Will Chisholm combined to put Chisholm through on goal and he calmly beat the keeper for his 6th league goal in as many games. CSU equalized with just a few minutes to play in the half, but the Knights took control of the game after halftime with their fluid passing in midfield causing problems. Menlo regained the lead midway through the half after junior midfielder Jackson Wagner was fouled in the box. Senior captain Justin Wang slotted the ball into the side netting for his 4th league goal of the season. Record: MS 6-3-3, 4-1-1 WBAL

Los Gatos 2, Palo Alto 0: Paly allowed goals in the 24th and 32nd minutes, but settled down in the second half and limited Los Gatos to a couple of shots. Paly had a number of good looks at the goal, but could not put the ball past the Los Gatos keeper. Records: PA 1-3-2 SCVAL De Anza; LG 4-0-1
