New Version of Duck Creek’s EXAMPLE Platform® Product Targets Enterprise-Wide Needs of Insurers

Orlando, FL, May 23, 2005 - Duck Creek Technologies, Inc., a leading developer of rating and policy administration software for the insurance industry, today announced the 2.0 version of its EXAMPLE Platform® software. This enhanced version, a full Microsoft® .NET® implementation, adds new features for managing security, integration, and the higher transaction demands of Web-enabled commercial lines insurance processing.
"We’re extremely satisfied with Duck Creek and the EXAMPLE Platform already," says Mike Capozza, Vice President, Information Systems with New Hampshire’s Concord Group Insurance. "This new version is beyond our expectations," he says. Concord Group is now planning to migrate several additional products from a legacy environment to the EXAMPLE Platform.
"Version 2.0 is the latest example of Duck Creek’s client-focused culture," Capozza says. "They’ve worked closely with us to understand and support our long term, demanding business needs. We rarely find a vendor that listens and responds so well."
Duck Creek CEO Doug Roller says Version 2.0, when released this summer, will extend Duck Creek’s capabilities into an even broader market. "EXAMPLE 2.0 improves security, performance, and scalability for higher-volume carriers who are attempting to deliver Web-based commercial lines solutions to their organizations, agents, and partners."
"A long-time Insurance Value Chain partner, Duck Creek is building solutions on the Microsoft platform which reduce the total cost of ownership and offer improved scalability, security, and performance", said Kevin Kelly, Managing Director of Insurance for Microsoft’s Financial Services Group. "The EXAMPLE Platform product suite improves product delivery, customer service, and productivity. These positive changes are at the core of our insurance initiative."
