National Life Group Appoints Chief Marketing Officer
Montpelier, Vermont - February 11, 2009 – Mehran Assadi, president and chief executive officer of National Life Group, has announced the appointment of Vincent G. Vitiello as chief marketing officer for National Life.
“I am very excited to have Vince join our team,” said Assadi. “He is a seasoned executive who is highly regarded throughout the industry. He brings to us nearly 30 years of distribution and marketing experience in two multi-national companies.”
“In his career Vince has been responsible for most every aspect of the life and annuity business, leading highly successful efforts in marketing, branding, distribution, recruitment and new product development,” said Assadi.
At National Life Group Vitiello will oversee the company’s career and independent distribution channels as well as all marketing. National Life Group, based in Montpelier, Vt., is a diversified family of financial service companies that has successfully forged a strong identity as a product innovator.
Vitiello comes to National Life from Allianz of America, where he served as chief business development officer and chief marketing officer. Allianz of America is a holding company that oversees Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America and Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company.
Before joining Allianz Life in 2004, Vitiello was a senior vice president at MetLife, where he held senior marketing and sales roles.

Vitiello is considered a leading authority in the financial services industry on marketing to the African-American, Hispanic and Asian market segments. He has been honored by the Chinese American Insurance Association and the Korean American Insurance Association.
Vitiello is a Director of The INN, a non-profit, volunteer-based organization that addresses the issues of hunger and homelessness on Long Island through a network of soup kitchens, emergency shelters and a long-term housing program.
Vitiello graduated from Manhattan College and obtained his MBA from Pace University in New York City.
