NYSSA Offers Online Commodity Trading Certificate in Partnership with Michael Martin

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The New York Society of Security Analysts (NYSSA), the leading forum for the investment community, has partnered with Michael Martin, a successful commodities trader and instructor, to offer an online certificate in commodities via Martin’s website, MartinKronicle. The NYSSA Certificate in Commodity Training and Trend Following is an exclusive in-depth online program.

The value of commodities will boost significantly in upcoming years due to increasing demand for natural resources from emerging markets. The NYSSA commodities certificate gives investors an opportunity to get ahead of the trend by learning about commodities from an instructor with 20 years of experience as a commodities trader. In these online courses, Martin shares his “…depth of knowledge on trading in general and commodities in particular.”

“NYSSA is looking forward to expanding our offerings to certificate programs for our members and the larger financial community. Michael Martin is an experienced instructor who has taught at NYSSA before and we’re excited to work with him on this new venture,” said Amy Geffen, PhD, NYSSA president and CEO.

CFA Charterholders and candidates, professional development students, current college students and recent graduates who want to learn how to trade, future commodity trading advisors (CTAs), and those pursuing a career in prop trading or at a hedge fund would benefit from this certificate.

Students must complete four courses to earn the certificate:

  • Introduction to Commodities & Technical Analysis
  • Directional Trades and Trend Following
  • Commodity Spreads and Seasonal Trades
  • Building a Complete Risk Management Trading System

Students may purchase one course at a time or get the entire series at a discounted rate. Online learning gives students access to the courses at any time from any computer with Internet access.
