Montgomery Insurance™ Eyes School Growth in the Southeast
School Program emphasizes safety resources, loss prevention, and liability concerns
Charlotte, N.C. - April 5, 2010 – Montgomery Insurance, a Liberty Mutual Agency Markets regional company, is expanding its school program in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Currently insuring more than 240 public and private schools across these four states, Montgomery Insurance will work with its independent agent appointees to grow this book of business this year.
Through school inspections, providing safety resources to administrators and access to specialized school loss prevention personnel, Montgomery Insurance differentiates itself in the school insurance marketplace by encouraging its school clients to be active participants in making their schools safer learning and working environments for students and staff.
“Insuring schools goes far beyond providing the right coverages for them. We believe it takes a continuous and collaborative effort to create a culture of safety,” said Michael J. Plavnicky, president and chief executive officer, Montgomery Insurance. “Our program specialists work to understand schools’ preparedness and needs, and we’ve brought together specified school underwriting experience and proven resources aimed at lessening safety, security and liability risks.”
Montgomery Insurance provides school clients’ access to its Safety Advantage Network™, a group of specialized vendors whose products and school safety solutions address both complex issues and more common school hazards including:
• School violence prevention;
• Sexual molestation awareness and prevention;
• Background checks for school employees and volunteers;
• Onsite AED equipment;
• Decision Driving™ for school bus drivers;
• Bleacher and playground safety and inspections; and
• Facilities and equipment assessments for athletic fields, vocational shops, science labs, and food service.
The Montgomery Insurance School Program provides comprehensive core coverages tailored to individual school districts’ needs.
