Direct Auto Insurance Offers Free Backpacks and School Supplies to Local Families
Proquest LLC
The National Retail Federation revealed that the average parent spent more than $634 on items ranging from backpacks and traditional supplies to clothing and electronics during the 2013 back to school season.
For the third consecutive year, Direct Auto Insurance is committing to easing that financial burden for parents.
According to a release, parents who stop by participating Direct Auto Insurance locations July 19-Aug. 16, and get a free no- obligation quote will receive a free school supply kit. While there, parents can also enter a Back-to-School Sweepstakes for a chance to win a $250 gift card to help pay for school materials and at the same time nominate their favorite school for a chance to win a $250 shopping spree.
In addition, Direct Auto Insurance will host family-friendly Back- to-School Bashes, featuring free food, fun and giveaways. Consumers who receive a quote during these events will receive a free backpack, while supplies last. In-store events will take place at Direct Auto Insurance locations in 13 states, from 10-2 p.m., on the following dates:
- Saturday, July 26
- Saturday, Aug. 2
- Saturday, Aug. 9
- Saturday, Aug. 16
"It's so important for kids to have what they need to succeed in school, but there's a cost associated and we recognize that," said Ann Davids, CMO of Direct Auto Insurance. "Direct Auto is supporting the local community by providing families some of the essentials for free."
