Baltimore Life Names New CEO

BALTIMORE
David K. Ficca has been named Baltimore Life's new chief executive officer, effective Jan. 1. In May, he was named the company's 11th president. L. John Pearson, formerly chairman and CEO, will remain active in his role as chairman, the company said in a statement. Pearson has been CEO since January 1995, when he joined Baltimore Life.Ficca joined the company in 2002 as senior vice president and chief financial officer. He brought more than 17 years of public accounting experience, 13 of which were in the insurance industry.Baltimore Life current;y has a Best's Financial Strength Rating of B++ (Good).
