55+ Driver Discount program classes offered locally in person

Precision Driving Center of Minnesota will be offering 55+ Driver Discount courses, including:
12:30-4:30 p.m.July 14 at Owatonna High School, 1455 SE 18th St. at the activities door.
5:30-9:30 p.m.July 14 at Blooming Prairie High School, 202 4th Ave. NW, Blooming Prairie.

As of July 1, 2024 there are no more 8-hour classes required in the state of Minnesota. Participants take a four-hour course to initially earn the discount and will retake the course every three years to maintain their discount with their auto insurance provider.
A certified instructor covers tips for driver and passenger safety, new laws, new vehicle technology, things that can influence our driving, and updates on traffic designs. The cost of the class is $24. There are no tests.
