CINCINNATI, Ohio, April 10 -- The Western and Southern Financial Group, a life insurance company, issued the following news release:
Western & Southern Financial Group's Harmony of Hearts won "Best Vocals" in the 2019 CincySings competition, a fundraiser for ArtsWave, the nation's oldest and largest public arts fund. The event took place at Music Hall on April 9.
Harmony of Hearts included Angee Ellis, Information Technology; Ron Hill and Valerie Holmes, W&S Agency Group; and Shurrie Hunter and Crystal Wiley, Insurance Operations.
The teams were judged on talent, cohesiveness, showmanship and creativity by a panel of local celebrities, including Emmy-Award nominee Kathy Wade, Artistic Director of Cincinnati Ballet Victoria Morgan, Reds legend and local musician Bronson Arroyo, and from NBC's The Voice, Tyshawn Colquitt. Harmony of Hearts won first place in 2018.
ArtsWave helps keep the arts vibrant in Cincinnati by providing grants that support artists' work, fund community performances, and seed new creative ventures. Western & Southern has historically held a leadership role in individual and total giving to ArtsWave. Last year, with our associates' generous contributions, we ranked eighth in pledges among partner companies in this region.
