Starr Companies announced today the promotion of Richard Bessinger to chief underwriting officer of Starr Indemnity & Liability Company, Starr Specialty Insurance Company, and Starr Surplus Lines Insurance Company.
Richard has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry and long term service with Starr. He has led underwriting product management & development since 2009 and has led a variety of underwriting organizations during his career.
Richard earned his Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in Political Science and Economics from Clark University in Worcester, MA. He has a Juris Doctorate from the University of Bridgeport/Quinnipiac University and is admitted to the New York Bar.
