Southland crime: Police knocked down by fleeing suspects after burglaries in Palos Hills, more

Jan. 30--Palos Hills

CHILD ENDANGERMENT: Haneen Hamdam, 24, of Orland Park, was arrested and accused of endangering the life of a child Jan. 21 after children aged 1 and 3 were found unattended in her car in a parking lot at 10301 Roberts Road, police said. According to the police report the children were left for approximately an hour while the temperature outside was below freezing. The children were taken to a local hospital for evaluation, police said.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY: Police responded to a resident's house Jan. 23 regarding a burglary in the 7900 block of 112th Place. When police arrived the spotted two suspects who ran from the area and got into a car, police said. When the officers attempted to stop the suspects they were knocked down by their car as they fled. Investigators learned after the incident that there were other burglaries by suspects matching the same description reported by residents in the 10900 blocks of Circle Drive and Westwood Avenue, police said.

NO LICENSE: Asem Taha, 25, of Orland Park, was arrested and accused of driving without a valid license and illegal use of license plates Jan. 23 after he was stopped in the 10300 block of Harlem Avenue, police said.

FAILURE TO YIELD: Kyle McLaughlin, 27, of Justice, was arrested and accused of failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and aggravated speeding Jan. 25 after he was stopped in the 10100 block of Roberts Road, police said.

Frankfort

CAR STOLEN: An unlocked car was stolen from a driveway in the 9000 block of Charrington Drive Jan. 15.

BURGLARY: Someone forced entry into a business in the 19900 block of LaGrange Road and stole miscellaneous items Jan. 15. A second business on the same block was burglarized the following night.

CAR BURGLARIES: Numerous cars were burglarized Jan. 19-20, police said. Three cars were located in the 800 block of St. Andrews Way. Other cars were located on Locust, Luther and Kansas Streets, Folker Drive, Sherlock and Callista. All the cars had been left unlocked.

STOLEN CAR: A car was stolen from a driveway in the 100 block of Evergreen Drive Jan. 20.

FORGERY ARREST: Robert Reavley, 33, of Chicago, was arrested and accused of forgery and having a fictitious or altered driver's license Jan. 21 in the 20000 block of LaGrange Road, police said.

Homer Glen

BATTERY ARREST: John Wesolowski, 39, of the 15500 block of Thornwood Lane, Homer Glen, was arrested and accused of battery and criminal damage to property Jan. 13 in the 14000 block of West 147th Street, police said.

Will County

BARN BURGLARIZED: Someone stole four chainsaws and ten chrome rims from a barn in the 25000 block of Klemme Road in Crete Township Jan. 8.

FLEEING POLICE: Amanda Corsini, 58, of Joliet, was arrested and accused of aggravated fleeing and eluding police, driving on a revoked license, improper lane usage, no signal while turning, aggravated speeding and two counts of disobeying a stop sign Jan. 10 at Kankakee and Route 129 in Crete Township, police said.

DRUG ARREST: Katie Angellotti, 21, of the 2200 block of Wolpers Road, Park Forest, was arrested and accused of possession of a controlled substance Jan. 14 in the 2300 block of Wolpers Road in University Park, police said,

CAR BURGLARY: Police said someone broke a car window and stole a wallet in the 200 block of Indian Mound Drive in New Lenox Township Jan. 11.

BATTERY ARREST: Ronald Kittler, 46, of the 1300 block of Schoolhouse, New Lenox, was arrested and accused of battery Jan. 12 at his home, police said.

STOLEN CAR: Police said someone someone stoke a 2016 Chevy Equinox left running in the driveway Jan. 14 in the 9500 block of Birch Avenue in Mokena Township, police said.

STOLEN CAR: Someone stole a 2006 Mercedes E300 out of a driveway in the 7600 block of Inverary Drive in Frankfort Township Jan. 14. The keys were left inside the car with the doors unlocked.

Orland Park

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Richard J. Gierat, 75, 13500 block of Glenwoody Court, Orland Park, was arrested and accused of disorderly conduct and trespassing Dec. 28 in an undisclosed block of Doral Lane, police said.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Jasmine K. Durrell, 26, 17400 block of Eastgate Drive, Country Club Hills, was arrested and accused of disorderly conduct Dec. 29 in the 16200 block of LaGrange Road, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: Latasha M. Garrett, 25, Chicago, was arrested and accused of retail theft Dec. 29 at Walgreens, 7960 159th St., after beauty products selling for $240.84 were stolen, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Gregory R. Motykowski, 38, 14800 block of Kostner Avenue, Midlothian, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license and cannabis possession Dec. 30 in the 8100 block of 143rd Street, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Darius D. Morgan, 28, 1200 block of Douglas Avenue, Flossmoor, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, improperly changing lanes, driving without insurance and cannabis possession Dec. 31 at 157th Street and 80th Avenue, police said.

NARCOTICS: Sebastian D. Wasilewski, 28, Lemont, was arrested and accused of possessing a controlled substance and drunken driving Dec. 31 in the 15100 block of West Avenue, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Daniel Llano-Ventura, 35, Woodridge, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license Jan. 1 at 159th Street and Wolf Road, police said.

VEHICULAR TRESPASS: Shenette S. Mitchell, 43, Joliet, was arrested and accused of vehicular trespass during a Jan. 1 traffic stop at 151st Street and LaGrange Road after an officer determined the vehicle she was driving had been missing from a Hertz dealership since July police said. Mitchell was also accused of driving without a valid license, having expired registration and possessing two grams of marijuana, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Alisha M. Thornton, 29, 600 block of Birch Lane, Oak Forest, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, speeding and driving without insurance Jan. 1 in the 15800 block of LaGrange Road, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: Mohammad M. Zegar, 39, 7600 block of Inverary Drive, Frankfort, was arrested and accused of retail theft after ear buds selling for $159 were stolen, police said.

NEGLECT: Olga Bergman, 47, 11100 block of 84th Avenue, Palos Hills, was cited Jan. 6 outside Once Upon A Child, 9520 159th St., after a young child was left unattended in a car for up to 10 minutes, police said.

DUI: Stephen D. Burns, 45, 3600 block of 153rd Street, Midlothian, was arrested and accused of drunken driving, speeding and improper lane use Jan. 6 at 159th Street and 88th Avenue, police said.

DUI: Daniel Estremera, 35, 7500 block of Halesia Court, Orland Park, was arrested and accused of drunken driving with a blood-alcohol concentration above the legal limit, improper lane use and improper turning Jan. 8 in the 15800 block of 80th Avenue, police said.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: John Goutis, 63, 9900 block of Franchesca Court, Orland Park, was arrested and accused of disorderly conduct Jan. 11 in the Palos Primary Care parking garage, 15300 West Ave., police said.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Jaymz A. Ike, 29, Elko, Nevada, was arrested Jan. 20 and accused of domestic battery in an undisclosed block of Honey Lane, police said.

NO LICENSE: Hilario Alviter, 60, Cicero, was arrested and accused of driving without a valid license and no insurance Jan. 21 at 183rd Street and 80th Avenue, police said.

VEHICLE BURGLARY: A loaded handgun was stolen from a pickup truck Jan. 21 in an undisclosed block of Cherry Hills Avenue.

STOLEN CAR: Donte C. Coleman, 25, undisclosed block of Amherst Court, Country Club Hills, was arrested and accused of vehicular trespass Jan. 23 in an undisclosed block of Newcastle Court after an officer responding to Coleman's motorist-assist call discovered Coleman's 2018 Dodge Charger was a vehicle stolen from the Raleigh-Durham Airport, police said.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Michael R. Rizzuti III, 29, undisclosed block of Olcott Avenue, was arrested and accused of domestic battery Jan. 24 in that block, police said.

Country Club Hills

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Darnell D. Ball, 27, 4100 block of 186th Place, Country Club Hills, was arrested and accused of domestic battery, interfering with a domestic-violence report and resisting arrest Jan. 12 in that block, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Tiffany M. Bingham, 39, 4500 block of Provincetown Drive, Country Club Hills, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, speeding and driving without insurance Jan. 15 in the 18400 block of Pulaski Road, police said.

NO LICENSE: Marcos Gutierrez, 18, 14700 block of Campbell Avenue, Posen, was arrested and accused of driving without a valid license and driving without insurance during a Jan. 15 crash investigation in the 4200 block of 167th Street, police said.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Michael A. Williams, 45, 3600 block of 176th Street, Country Club Hills, was arrested and accused of domestic battery Jan. 15 in that block, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: Shaneka L. Bracey, 39, 17100 block of Whittier Avenue, Hazel Crest, was arrested and accused of retail theft Jan. 16 at the Wal-Mart SuperCenter, 4005 168th Place, after merchandise selling for $171.64 was stolen, police said.

BATTERY: Charia N. Johnson, 37, Chicago, was arrested and accused of battery Jan. 16 at the Blue Lagoon, 4265 167th St., police said.

WARRANT SERVICE: Jeff Jackson, 34, 18000 block of Edwards Avenue, Country Club Hills, was taken into custody on two undisclosed Country Club Hills warrants and one undisclosed Cook County warrant Jan. 18 at the University of Chicago police station, police said.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Robert L. Evans, 60, 18700 block of Loras Lane, Country Club Hills, was arrested and accused of domestic battery Jan. 19 in that block, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Randy L. Sawyer, 31, 900 block of White Oak Lane, University Park, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, improper turning, driving without insurance and no rear registration plate light Jan. 22 at 183rd Street and Carrington Drive, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Marcus Fisher, 28, first block of 19th Street, Chicago Heights, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, driving without insurance and expired registration Jan. 15 at Halsted Street and Maple Avenue, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: Cynthia Pantoja, 21, 500 block of Tulip Drive, Glenwood, was arrested and accused of retail theft Jan. 15 at Kohl's, 17620 Halsted St., after merchandise selling for $225 was stolen, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Jalesa Robinson, 28, Chicago, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license and driving without insurance Jan. 15 at 175th and Halsted streets, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Dashae Brown, 20, 200 block of 16th Street, Chicago Heights, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, driving without headlights when required and driving without insurance Jan. 16 in the 17500 block of Halsted Street, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: Kevin Newsum, 43, 16600 block of Honore Street, Markham, was arrested and accused of retail theft Jan. 16 at the Wal-Mart Supercenter, 17550 Halsted St., after merchandise selling for $149.84 was stolen, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Katie Bielefeldt, 32, 300 block of 145th Place, Riverdale, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license Jan. 17 in the 1200 block of 183rd Street, police said.

DUI: Marcus Rice, 31, 13600 block of Wallace Avenue, Riverdale, was arrested and accused of drunken driving, driving on a suspended license, driving without insurance, improper lane use and illegally transporting alcohol Jan. 18 in the 18500 block of Halsted Street, police said.

DUI: Onze Owens, 51, Hammond, Ind., was arrested and accused of drunken driving, improper lane use, failing to reduce speed to avoid a collision, driving without insurance and illegally transporting alcohol Jan. 19 in the 1500 block of Ridge Road, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Larose Whitfield, 35, 19300 block of Oak Avenue, Country Club Hills, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, driving without insurance and improper lighting/one headlamp Jan. 19 at 183rd Street and Kedzie Avenue, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Timothy Cazley, 31, Chicago, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license and no rear registration light Jan. 20 at Dixie Highway and Chestnut Road, police said.

RESISTING: Kevin M. Lamb, 27, Chicago, was arrested and accused of three counts of resisting/obstructing a peace officer, while Vondell R. Bush, 24, 7500 block of Tiffany Drive, Orland Park, and Sewell Taylor, 25, 9300 block of Harlem Avenue, Oak Lawn, were arrested and accused of two counts of resisting/obstructing a peace officer Jan. 17 in the 5800 block of 89th Place, police said.

NO LICENSE: Kevin Marines, 18, Chicago, was arrested and accused of driving without a valid license and disobeying a traffic-control device Jan. 17 in the 9400 block of Cicero Avenue, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Robert R. Sanchez, 56, Chicago, was arrested and accused of driving on suspended license, improper turning and driving without insurance Jan. 17 in the 9500 block of 52nd Avenue, police said.

NARCOTICS: Ryan T. Sweeney, 28, 15300 block of Treetop Lane, Orland Park, was arrested and accused of possessing a controlled substance after undisclosed contraband was discovered during a Jan. 17 traffic stop at 95th Street and Central Avenue for drunken driving, police said.

WARRANT SERVICE: Marquis Thomas, 18, Calumet City, was taken into custody on four undisclosed warrants Jan. 17 in the 4400 block of 95th Street, police said.

PARAPHERNALIA: Shadi F. Abdallah, 24, 10300 block of Mansfield Avenue, Oak Lawn, was arrested and accused of two counts of possessing drug equipment and one count of aggravated fleeing/attempting to elude during a Jan. 18 traffic stop at 103rd Street and Mansfield Avenue, police said. Abdallah was also accused of speeding, disregarding a stop sign and driving without insurance, police said.

RESISTING: Markus J. Gilliam, 25, 4000 block of 91st Place, Oak Lawn, was arrested and accused of resisting/obstructing a peace officer during a Jan. 18 crash investigation in the 9100 block of Pulaski Road, police said. Gilliam was also accused of driving without a valid license, leaving the scene of a property-damage collision, driving without insurance and damaging public property, police said.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: Terrance A. Johnson, 26, Chicago, was arrested and accused of aggravated assault Jan. 18 in the 9600 block of Karlov Avenue, Chicago, police said.

WARRANT SERVICE: Jon Philip Bonamer, 64, 8800 block of Keeler Avenue, Hometown, was taken into custody on an undisclosed warrant Jan. 19 in the 4500 block of 95th Street, police said.

NO LICENSE: Esmeralda B. Cervantes, 20, 9500 block of Tripp Avenue, Oak Lawn, was arrested and accused of driving without a valid license, driving too fast for conditions and violating seatbelt law Jan. 20 in the 9700 block of Tripp Avenue, police said.

BATTERY: Darnell Preston, 48, Chicago, was arrested and accused of battery and three counts of resisting/obstructing a peace officer during a Jan. 20 retail-theft investigation in the 10700 block of Cicero Avenue, police said.

DUI: Ivan E. Rosas, 44, Mundelein, was arrested and accused of aggravated drunken driving, driving on a suspended license, speeding and driving without insurance Jan. 20 at 95th Street and 54th Avenue, police said.

NO LICENSE: Maricela Silvestre, 41, Chicago, was arrested and accused of driving without a valid license and failing to dim headlights Jan. 20 in the 8900 block of Ridgeland Avenue, police said.

WARRANT SERVICE: Sean M. Velkavrh, 31, 10200 block of Pulaski Road, Oak Lawn, was taken into custody on an undisclosed warrant Jan. 20 in that block, police said.

NARCOTICS: Manuel A. Barrientos, 35, 5700 block of 87th Place, Oak Lawn, was arrested and accused of possessing a controlled substance and drug equipment after undisclosed contraband and paraphernalia were discovered during a Jan. 21 traffic stop in the 4700 block of 92nd Street, police said. Barrientos was also accused of driving on a suspended license, driving without insurance and obstructed view, police said.

WARRANT SERVICE: Amari J. Drayton, 23, 9500 block of Natoma Avenue, Oak Lawn, was taken into custody on an undisclosed warrant Jan. 21 in the 6000 block of 95th Street, police said.

WARRANT SERVICE: Lasherry Reed, 34, Milwaukee, was taken into custody on an undisclosed warrant Jan. 21 in the 9000 block of Cicero Avenue, police said.

VANDALISM: Andrew K. Woods, 54, Chicago, was arrested and accused of criminally damaging property Jan. 21 in the 9400 block of Raymond Avenue, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Stevie Frank, 47, Milwaukee, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, driving without insurance and improper lane use Jan. 22 in the 8700 block of Cicero Avenue where he was also served with an undisclosed warrant, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Xavier R. Huerta, 20, 8800 block of Ridgeland Avenue, Evergreen Park, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, speeding and failing to signal when required Jan. 22 in that block, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Christopher J. McGuire, 20, 14800 block of Sunset Avenue, Oak Forest, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license and improper lane use Jan. 22 at 95th Street and McVicker Avenue, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Giovanni L. Rivas, 29, Chicago, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license Jan. 22 at 96th Street and Karlov Avenue, police said.

NARCOTICS: Kenneth R. Rogo, 40 4700 block of 105th Street, Oak Lawn, was arrested and accused of possessing a controlled substance drug equipment Jan. 22 in the 10800 block of Laramie Avenue, police said.

ASSAULT: Antonio D. Wright, 18, 10000 block of Minnick Avenue, Oak Lawn, was arrested and accused of assault Jan. 22 in that block, police said.

NO LICENSE: Montana A. Durden, 23, Chicago, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, driving without insurance, speeding and driving with a defective windshield Jan. 23 in the 6400 block of 95th Street, police said.
