More than 20 million Americans will see their health insurance premiums double next year without Congressional action, while President Trump continues to refuse to work on a solution.
"As President Trumpsaidhimself in 2011, 'if there is a shutdown, I think it would be a tremendously negative mark on the President of the United States. He's the one who has to get people together ... the President of the United States has to get this done.'
"Georgians want the Federal government up and running and Georgians oppose huge increases in health insurance premiums. I remain ready to work with my Republican colleagues to resolve this unnecessary crisis as swiftly as possible."
Sen. Ossoff continuesworking to lower Georgians' health care costs.
In June, Sen. Ossoffoffered an amendmentduring the Senate's budget debate to extend key Affordable Care Act tax credits in the Trump budget bill, but Republicans blocked Sen. Ossoff's amendment.
