WASHINGTON, Feb. 10 -- The office of Sen. Cory Gardner, R-Colo., issued the following news release:
Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO) today voted in favor of confirming Dr. Tom Price as Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services:
"Obamacare has led to soaring premiums, diminishing choices, and hundreds of thousands of cancelled plans over the past four years in Colorado alone.
"It's time to fix our broken health care system and evaluate and implement ideas that will empower patients, and Dr. Tom Price is committed to doing just that.
"As a physician for nearly two decades and former Chairman of the Budget Committee, Dr. Price is an ideal candidate to address the damage of Obamacare and work with Congress toward health care solutions that effectively preserve choice and keep costs down."
