LONDON, Feb. 10 -- AXA UK, a multinational insurance firm that engages in global insurance, investment management and financial services, issued the following news release:
AXA Insurance has bolstered its consumer travel insurance book by joining the panel of Sunderland-based broker Just Travel.
The agreement, which went live in December, will run for three years and the policies sold will be branded Free 2 Travel.
The arrangement, unique among regional brokers, represents the first time AXA has been named on the panel of a travel insurance intermediary of this size.
The new relationship reinforces AXA's commitment to support independent travel insurance providers and to grow its presence in the direct to consumer travel insurance market.
Commenting on the deal, Nel Mooy, Head of Travel, AXA Insurance said: "We are delighted to be able to partner with Just Travel - a growing player in the travel insurance space. This deal supports our ambition to grow our travel insurance book and to support brokers in this space."
Andrew Jackson, Managing Director, Just Travel added: "The travel market is constantly changing so it is vital that we work with partners that are able to meet the needs of our clients. Working with such a recognised brand as AXA will allow us to strengthen our position in the travel insurance space."
