SAND CREEK – What would you do if you bought a scratch-off lottery ticket and saw you had won $1 million?
A Sand Creek man knows the answer to that question. He's going to Walt Disney World, among other things.
Arnold Kleindienst bought his winning Millionaire Wild Time ticket at Country Market, 1535 W. Maumee St. in Adrian, where he works.
"Millionaire Wild Time is my favorite game since I have been having good luck on it recently," Kleindienst said in a news release from the Michigan Lottery. "I work at the Country Market and purchased some tickets on my break. When I saw I'd won $1 million, I was so excited and overwhelmed."
Kleindienst, 46, visited Lottery headquarters recently to claim his prize. He chose to receive his prize as a one-time lump sum payment of about $634,000 rather than 30 annuity payments for the full amount.
With his winnings, he plans to take his family on a trip to Disney World, complete some home improvements and save the remainder.
"Winning is a great feeling! It eases stress and will make life easier," Kleindienst said.
Players have won more than $91 million playing Millionaire Wild Time, which launched in August 2020. Each $20 ticket offers players a chance to win prizes ranging from $20 up to $1 million. More than $10 million in prizes remain, including nine $10,000 prizes and 165 $1,000 prizes.
