Rep. Velazquez Introduces Bill on Cannabis-Related Legitimate Business

WASHINGTON, March 20 -- Rep. Nydia M. Velazquez, D-N.Y., has introduced legislation (H.R. 2068) to "create a safe harbor for insurers engaging in the business of insurance in connection with a cannabis-related legitimate business."
The bill was introduced on March 18 and was co-sponsored by Rep. Steve Stivers, R-Ohio. It was referred to the House Financial Services Committee.
