Rep. Chabot Introduces Wally Bunker Healthcare Enhancement for Local Public Safety Retirees Improvement Act

WASHINGTON, March 28 -- Rep. Steve Chabot, R-Ohio, has introduced the Wally Bunker Healthcare Enhancement for Local Public Safety Retirees Improvement Act (H.R. 7203) "to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to repeal the direct payment requirement on the exclusion from gross income of distributions from governmental plans for health and long-term care insurance."

The bill was introduced on March 24 and was co-sponsored by Rep. Abigail Spanberger, D-Va. It was referred to the House Ways and Means Committee.
