CHESTERFIELD, Mo. (AP) — CHESTERFIELD, Mo. (AP) — Reinsurance Group of America Inc. (RGA) on Thursday reported third-quarter earnings of $287 million.
The Chesterfield, Missouri-based company said it had net income of $4.29 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were $5.57 per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $4.28 per share.
The reinsurance company posted revenue of $5.15 billion in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $5.28 billion, which also beat Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $4.36 billion.
