QBE North America Appoints Marcia Blanco to Senior Vice President, Western Region Specialty Underwriting & Engagement Leader Role

By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Insurance Weekly News -- - QBE North America, an operating division of QBE Insurance Group Limited, announced the appointment of Marcia Blanco to Senior Vice President, Western Region Specialty Underwriting & Engagement Leader. Based in San Francisco, California, Ms. Blanco will report to Jeff Grange, President of Specialty Insurance.

In this new role, Ms. Blanco will serve as the underwriting leader for the Specialty portfolio in the Western Region. She will use her extensive underwriting and marketing skills, working closely with David Kuhn, Senior Vice President, Regional Executive - Western Region, to expand the visibility of QBE North America as an integrated specialist insurer. Ms. Blanco will build strategic relationships with current and potential customers, foster Specialty business growth and profitability, and leverage her deep client and industry knowledge to provide distinctive solutions that enhance customer value within the region.

Ms. Blanco has more than 25 years of insurance industry experience, primarily in the specialized Miscellaneous Professional Liability production and underwriting areas. She joins QBE from XL Insurance, where she managed a highly profitable national portfolio as Vice President, Miscellaneous Professional Liability, based in San Francisco, California. Prior to joining XL Insurance, Ms. Blanco held senior underwriting and leadership positions with Navigators Insurance Company, Kemper Insurance Company, CNA, Executive Risk, Reliance National Underwriters, and Swett and Crawford, where she was a broker. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Pace University.
