Lindsay Glazer left Peoria a long time ago and became a criminal-defense attorney in South Florida. She also became a stand-up comic whose stage nickname is "The Alphabitch."

Now known as Lindsay Glazer Woloshin, she also is a co-defendant in a lawsuit filed by one of the 50 greatest players in NBA history.

Former Chicago Bulls superstar Scottie Pippen filed suit last month in Broward County, Fla., against Glazer Woloshin and her husband, Jacob Woloshin. The Woloshins are based in Fort Lauderdale.

According to The Miami Herald, the lawsuit seeks almost $110,000 in damages related to destruction the Woloshins allegedly incurred at Pippen's $10 million Fort Lauderdale mansion.

The Woloshins rented the mansion for seven months in 2017 and '18 because Hurricane Irma damaged their residence. An insurance broker found the six-bedroom, 13,500-square-foot house, according to Glazer Woloshin.

Among other things, Pippen alleges the Woloshins allowed dogs and cats to urinate all over the mansion, damaged the front gate and home entertainment system and caused an insect infestation, the Herald reported.

Glazer Woloshin, 40, disputes all that. Sometimes humorously, although at a basic level, this is no laughing matter.

"The allegations contained in the lawsuit are false and, in many instances, preposterous," she stated in an email exchange with Nick in the Morning.

"The house was in poor condition when we first moved in, and we left it in a much better condition. Also, we have no intention on paying the amount demanded by Pippen and we will aggressively defend the lawsuit."

Pippen, 53, teamed with Michael Jordan to win six NBA titles for the Bulls in the 1990s. Pippen also was a member of the 1992 Olympics "Dream Team" and is a member of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.

Glazer Woloshin attended Richwoods High School in Peoria but graduated from Lake Forest Academy, a boarding school in the Chicago suburbs. Her father is Jay Glazer, former owner of Peoria Heights-based Super Liquors.

After high school, Glazer Woloshin attended Indiana University and the law school at Tulane University in New Orleans. But, for the most part, she has left the law for laughs.

"According to my sisters, I have been doing comedy since I was 10 years old at the dinner table," Glazer Woloshin wrote. "Just ask Mr. Wicker from Richwoods. I am the reason most teachers retire."

Samples of Glazer Woloshin's comedic repertoire are available for viewing at her website, lindsayglazer.com. The first words of her online biography state she was raised in Peoria.

Apparently, life as "The Alphabitch" isn't bad. Glazer Woloshin has at least nine comedy dates scheduled in January, starting with a performance Thursday night in Key West, Fla. She also is to appear this month in California and Washington, D.C.

It's isn't clear when Glazer Woloshin and her husband are to appear in Broward County Circuit Court. The last activity in the case was Dec. 28, according to court records.

The lease agreement stated the Woloshins were to pay $30,000 per month in rent, with a security deposit of $50,000. Glaze Woloshin claims Pippen returned the security deposit in full.

Pippen claims the damages included theft of a Cuisinart knife set. According to Glazer Woloshin, a replacement costs about $14.

In comedic response, Glazer Woloshin created a GoFundMe campaign to raise enough money to pay for a new set. As of Wednesday morning, the campaign has raised $706.

Minus $14, the rest of the money is to go to the Fisher House Foundation, a not-for-profit group that assists members of the military.

Pippen's lawsuit also claims Glazer Woloshin is a member of the family that owns the Tampa Bay Buccaneers NFL team and the Manchester United English Premier League soccer team. Those Glazers are worth about $4.5 billion.

Jay Glazer sold a lot of booze at Super Liquors, but not that much, as his daughter attests.

"If I'm a member of that Glazer family, that's news to me," Glazer Woloshin wrote. "If that were the case, we would have leased from Michael Jordan instead."

Whether Glazer Woloshin has the eyes that are the focus of the song heard on the way to work is up to the reader.
