Midland IRA Holds a Food Drive and Donates Boxes of Food to the Cape Coral Caring Center

Self-directed IRA administrator, Midland IRA, held a food drive last month for the Cape Coral Caring Center and donated multiple boxes of canned food and other non-perishable items to the local charity.

With the holiday season upon us, the financial setbacks caused by hurricane Irma are being felt now more than before. Organizations such as the Cape Coral Caring Center are designed to help members of the community during these times of need.

In an effort to help those in the community in time for Thanksgiving, the South office of Midland IRA, Inc. collected food donations for the Cape Coral Caring Center. Donations consisted mostly of canned vegetables and pasta. In total, Midland was able to collect and donate four boxes of food.

Since 1990, the Cape Coral Caring Center has helped over 70,000 Cape Coral residents in need of short term assistance. The goal of the center is to help members of the community maintain a suitable standard of living during times of economic strain. In addition to food items, the Cape Coral Caring Center also provides assistance with electric bills and referrals to other agencies.

"It's important to give back to the local community," says Dave Owens, President of Midland IRA, "I want my employees to help out others who may not be as fortunate as we are as much as possible." Midland IRA donates and volunteers regularly in both Southwest Florida and Chicago.
