McAdams Votes to Protect Utahns from Losing Health Care Coverage Due to a Pre-Existing Condition

"Utahns consistently tell me that access to and affordability of health care is a top concern--for individuals, families and small businesses. They worry about whether they will be able to see a doctor, manage an existing condition or afford their medicine. The Affordable Care Act was not a perfect bill, but at a time when the administration and others are threatening to eliminate it, with no replacement plan, I support actions to strengthen Utahns' access to health care. That includes steps to stabilize the individual health care market place, where 195,000 Utahns have purchased health insurance coverage and to oppose policies that do not protect pre-existing conditions," said McAdams.
