Description of service: Maintenance/Service Agreement for the Carl Zeiss LSM 700

Provide scheduled and emergency service performed between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. All travel charges are encompassed in the service coverage as well as one preventative maintenance inspection per year. All parts and labor are included as well as Phone support.

Scheduled preventative maintenance visit (PM). These increase instrument reliability and performance. Thorough PM procedures include inspection, cleaning, and making any necessary repairs or adjustments to meet published factory specifications. Minor problems need to be corrected to prevent catastrophic failures that jeopardize valuable samples and lab productivity. Replacement parts need to be provided with the agreement. The vendor s service engineers must carry a stock of commonly used parts for timely instrument repairs. Additional parts must be obtained from official equipment manufacturer s computerized service inventory.

Engineering modifications must be included and must be installed without charge during the preventative maintenance visit. Continuous hardware design modifications enhance instrument performance and reliability. The vendor s service engineers are informed of these enhancements and must automatically update the instrumentation.

Factory trained and certified service engineers should perform all service repairs.

Contractor personnel shall be continuously trained on the latest instrument technology, product improvements, software, and accessories. Contractor service teams must be staffed to provide constant service coverage during periods of engineer training, vacation, and illness.
