Huntington title company assets purchased, renamed

While not necessarily new but with a new name is Tulip Tree Title Company in Huntington.

John Kirk recently purchased the assets of Jones Abstract, a title insurance company in Huntington, and renamed it Tulip Tree Title, expanding it from his business in Wabash.

During a Huntington County Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting Thursday, Tulip Tree Title's owner Kirk explained to The Herald-Press that he worked in for 10 years at Wabash Valley Abstract Company Inc. of Wabash until he purchased it last year and renamed it Tulip Tree Title.

Then in April here in Huntington, Kirk expanded by purchasing the assets of Jones Abstract and also named it Tulip Tree Title. Jones' employees are expected to be joining Tulip Tree.

Kirk resides in Peru with his wife, Shanea, and daughter, Kingslee.
