Humana Launches Comprehensive Individual Dental Plan for Those Transitioning from Previous Coverage
Complete Dental Supports Continuity of Care and Provides Comprehensive Preventive, Basic and Major Services for Consumers with Prior Dental Coverage
Humana’s Complete Dental option is designed to provide immediate preventive care through cleanings and exams and, after standard wait periods, covers fillings and extractions as well as additional services such as root canals, crowns and dentures. Waiting periods may be waived if consumers have had 12 months of continuous prior dental coverage. This plan works well for those who may be recently retired or are moving off of a group dental plan.
“For consumers who may be transitioning dental plans, our new Complete Dental option allows individuals to secure immediate coverage for basic and major dental services if they have had one year of dental coverage prior to enrolling,” said
Complete Dental is a PPO plan, allowing members the flexibility to have coverage with in-network and out-of-network dentists. Complete Dental is available in 21 states; the plan can be purchased by individuals of any age, and can be bought year-round. This new plan expands Humana’s portfolio of dental products, offering consumers a broad range of cost and coverage options to fit their individual needs.
