Generali Global Assistance Appoints Tarik Ajami As Chief Compliance Officer And General Counsel Of North America Unit

NEW YORK, Aug. 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Generali Global Assistance ("the Company"), a leader in the assistance industry since its founding in 1963 and part of the global Generali Group, today announced the hiring of Tarik Ajami as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, supporting all Generali business lines in North America.

Mr. Ajami heads all legal and compliance functions for the Company's diverse suite of North American businesses and reports to Chris Carnicelli, CEO Generali Global Assistance, North America in Generali Global Assistance's New York City office. Prior to joining Generali, Ajami served as Deputy General Counsel at AIG. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. degree in English and earned his law degree from the City University of New York School of Law.

The Company also announced today two additional key hires. Sven Thorslund has assumed the role of Vice President of Sales and Product Strategy, Travel Assistance at Generali Global Assistance, where he will develop and implement sales, account management, product, and marketing strategies to expand the Company's comprehensive portfolio of travel assistance services. Mr. Thorslund previously served as Chief Marketing Officer at AXA Assistance USA and also worked as the Director of Business Development with Europ Assistance USA, now Generali Global Assistance, from 2004 – 2010. He holds a Master's degree in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Charles Hall has been named Senior Product Manager at Generali Global Assistance's Travel Insurance division, where he is responsible for product planning and development to bring innovative travel insurance products to the consumer, retail, and vacation rental marketplaces. Prior to Generali Global Assistance, Mr. Hall served as a senior product manager at Munich Re's American Modern Insurance Group. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Widener University, and reports to Henrik Romberg, Vice President Sales & Product Development in the Company's San Diego office.
