Foxwall EMS gets Santa-sized boost for Toys for Tots collection
Pittsburgh Tribune-Review (PA)
Dec. 04--Foxwall EMS got a huge hand in its collection for Toys for Tots when 400 dolls, trucks and other items were delivered on Nov. 30 to the station along Squaw Run Road in Fox Chapel.
Employees from the insurance brokerage firm HUB International donated toys collected during its November campaign, giving Foxwall a significant boost, Commander Josh Worth said.
"To us, public service is more than just transporting the sick and injured," Worth said. "It's about helping people when they need it most and our members are amazing at doing that."
Toys for Tots is a 70-year-old national charitable program run by the U.S.Marine Corps Reserve, with the aim of providing help and happiness to less fortunate children during the holiday season. Toys, books and other gifts collected will be distributed by Marines and volunteers to local families, including many from the Lower Valley.
Anyone interested in donating can do so through 4 p.m.Dec. 13 at 145 Squaw Run Road. For more, visit foxwall.org .
