Farmers Insurance Deploys Additional Resources in Response

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif., May 22 -- Farmers Insurance, an insurance company, issued the following news release:

A series of storms which included large hail and strong winds moved through multiple states including Colorado, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. Farmers Insurance(R) is monitoring the damage in these states and deploying additional Catastrophe Claims Team members to provide front-line assistance to affected customers as needed.

Farmers Insurance estimates that these storms will generate approximately 22,000 claims across these states at an estimated cost of more than $138 million. Farmers(R) expects more claims to be filed over the next few weeks and encourages customers to file a claim as soon as possible by calling their agent, using the online filing system at https://www.farmers.com/claims/, the Farmers(R) app through their smartphone or tablet, or by calling the 24-hour claims center:
